Today it was announced the Disney Academy award winning classic Bedknobs and Broomsticks is set for UK stages, including the Theatre Royal Nottingham.
From Wednesday 6 October to Sunday 10 October 2021, the Theatre Royal will play host to the cast of the stage version of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, as it makes its world premiere on UK stages.
The production is due to open at Newcastle Theatre Royal on Saturday 14 August 2021, where it will eventually pay visit to Nottingham in October 2021.
Audiences can step into the world of fantasy that Disney bestows upon them with the film classic.
All original songs will be featured, initially wrote by the legendary Sherman Brothers ā familiar to Disney after writing other songs for Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book and many more.
Three orphaned children are evacuated from London ā during the war ā and must live with the shadowy Eglantine Price. After discovering Eglantine is a witch in training, they join forces to search for a secret spell to try and defeat the enemy.
All they have is an enchanted bedknob, a bewitched broomstick and a magical flying bed. With these at hand, they encounter new friendships along the way.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday 12 December at 10am.
