The Nottingham Playhouse finally returns once again with their exciting, new show BOAR!
On the roadmap out of lockdown, theatres are set to finally reopen their doors on May 17. After a long-awaited year of on/off-again performances, they can finally open their curtains and let the show begin.
Hollie Anderson, media and communications manager at Nottingham Playhouse, said: “Weāre thrilled that the first performance at Nottingham Playhouse will be BOAR, performed by our Creative Associate Lewis Doherty.
“As itās in May, this will be performed in front of a socially distanced audience, but there will also be a live-streamed version available for those who want to view at home.
“BOAR is a one-man show where Lewis plays over 40 characters who live in the Kingdom of Skadi. Itās a place of adventure, a distant land where pirates, bounty hunters and thieves do battle in a world on the brink of destruction.
“The hunt is on to rescue a princess from an evil dragon, but who will survive this quest?”
The typical Saturday evening trip to the theatre is just over the horizon, with many plans set it stone for the Nottingham Playhouse, making it one of the most desired tourist locations for Nottingham this summer!
A wide range of shows are ready for the stage this summer, with Hollie explaining there’s an exciting line up for the upcoming months, she said, “This summer weāre excited to welcome audience back for the run ofĀ Piaf ā starring Jenna Russell (EastEnders, Sunday in the Park With George).
We're so pleased to announced our long-awaited production of Piaf will be going ahead this summer. We can't wait to welcome you all back! ?
Tickets are on priority sale to Playhouse Pass members now, with general sale from Tue 6 Apr.
