Top 10 things to watch in July

There are so many great TV shows and films to watch right now thanks to all the streaming services and catch-up TV.

Last Man Standing

All seven seasons of this hilarious comedy are available on Amazon Prime – ahead of the show being renewed for another season years after it finished. Watch the great ‘Outdoor Man’ Mike Baxter look after his wife and daughters, as well as his grandson. Although he is outnumbered by teenagers at home, he is still sarcastic and hilariously mean, especially at work.

The Sinner

Currently number one on Netflix, this TV show has three seasons – each named after a different person as each season tells a different story. The show is based on the psyhcological thrillers of Cora Bender, and focuses on crime, death and mystery. The show is extremely suspenseful, and the trailer alone will get your heart racing.

Oceans 8

This film is a must watch, not only is the plot great it has so many A-list actors starring in it including Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Rhianna and Cate Blanchett, as well as many more… even James Cordon appears in it! The film follows Debbie Ocean, who has gathered a team of women to help her steal a necklace worth more than $150 million. It’s an amazing film, and you can watch it anytime on Amazon Prime.

Hunters

This show is unlike any other and has stirred up a lot of controversy. Inspired by true events – this show follows the lives of a group of Nazi hunters in the 70’s who discover that the US brought hundreds of Nazis into the country to use them against the USSR. The hunters want justice and revenge, but there are a lot of unforeseen plot twists along the way.

Mammia Mia: Here We Go Again

Everyone loves Mamma Mia, and the sequel is just as good and answers so many of our questions. It’s now on Netflix for us all too watch, and there are many funny moments, and some heart-breaking ones. But who can resist singing along whether you have seen the film dozens of times or never before?

Warrior Nun

This new TV show is strange on many levels, but once you start watching you can’t stop, so good jobs it’s on Netflix. It follows the life of an orphan who wakes up in a morgue, and then discoverers she is the chosen Halo-Bearer. She uses her skills whilst working for a secret group of demon hunting nuns.

Line Of Duty

This thriller film is packed with action and adventure, as a disgraced officer, Frank, has to save the police chief’s daughter. But he has to do all this whilst a journalist live streams his every move. However the film seems to disappear and reappear on Netflix, so watch it fast before it disappears again.

The Goldbergs

This Channel 4 comedy is pure comical gold. Beverly Goldberg is the ultimate smother and there is nothing she won’t do for her children. She will argue with teachers, start fights, and help them in any way she possibly can…much to her children’s dismay as nobody wants their mum tackling them in a wrestling match, writing guilt letters or constantly matchmaking.

Freaks

This thriller is all about a little girl who has been hidden away from society by her dad. He keeps her hidden, but she gets out, and chaos follows her thanks to her ‘unique’ abilities. This film is currently in the top 10 on Netflix, although watching it may leave you with more questions then you started with.

Game Night

This hilarious film is finally on Amazon Prime, and one of my favourites of all time, but it’s not all fun and games. The film stars Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman, and follows a group of friends who all love games, and after a night full of plot twists your left unsure of what did and didn’t happen.
