Paris Fashion Week drew to a close the other week. In honour of the stunning outfits which were on display, let’s take a look at the 5 most iconic moments of the show.
Doja’s Cat Intergalactic Beauty Looks

Rapper Doja Cat has always been known for her quirky sense of style. Ever since she burst onto the music scene with her outlandish single “Mooo!” she’s pushed the boundaries of fashion. Working as her own stylist, she’s taken it to the next level for Paris Fashion Week with two bold beauty looks.
At Mônot’s spring/summer 2023 fashion show the diva sported a futuristic alien-inspired look. She paired a skimpy black cut-out dress with painted-on gloves. She adorned her face with Avatar-esque makeup – blue contour on a white base with striking red lips.
For her appearance at AWAKE Mode’s latest collection, makeup artist Laurel Charleston doused Doja’s head and body in liquid gold. This look divided fans with some comparing her to a living statue.
Cadillac couture
Thom Browne is known for his headline-grabbing collections and this season was no exception. He sent nautical punk-rockers holding dachshund bags down the runway, followed by cascading three-tier gowns and spotted coats. The cherry on top? MJ Rodriguez (star of smash TV-hit Pose) cruising down the runway in a pink Cadillac made of gossamer fabric.
Mind-bending Minecraft
Loewe may be LVMH’s oldest fashion house but Jonathon Anderson’s latest collection felt anything but old.
The designer took the digital into the physical with pixelated hoodies, tees and trousers that wouldn’t have looked out of place in an 8-bit universe like Minecraft.
Violence at Vaquera
The energy at Vaquera’s show was chaotic with models stomping furiously down the runway. Weird? Absolutely but also undeniably unforgettable. The models’ attitude combined with the crashing set list by DJ Physical Therapy felt aggressive and full of unapologetic female power.
Fluid Fabric – Magic on Stage
This round-up wouldn’t be complete without Coperini’s spray-on dress. Bella Hadid walked the runway in only a G-string before two men sprayed her with Fabrican – a liquid fibre. It turned solid as it hit her body, allowing a stylist to later cut a slit and make an off-the-shoulder look.
Maybe we’ll look back on this moment as the time when we stopped seeing fabric as “solid” and literally opened the floodgates of innovative liquid fashion.
