DMA’S and Peace to headline Liverpool’s Sound City Festival 2018

Sound City has announced over 100 acts as it returns to Liverpool for its eleventh year. The festival is to be held over the May bank holiday…

The very impressive line up includes Aussie, Brit pop-esque band DMA’SĀ  and psych-rockers Peace as the main headliners over the two-day festival.

Other acts include Slow Readers Club, Black Honey, Idles, Wye Oak, Dermot Kennedy, Sam Fender, Jaws and Sunset Sons just to name a few.

The festival will embrace the spirit of the underground by showcasing up and coming bands and performers of the generation.

250 acts are set to play over the weekend with the festival adding grime and urban acts into the mix for the first time in its history.

The Liverpudlian festival is said to be going back to its roots in a vibrant celebration of music and arts from around the world and much closer to home, promising wild shows and raucous label parties.

Previous artists include Ed Sheeran, Everything Everything, The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and Florence and the Machine

Liverpool will play host to intimate venues across the city on the 5th and 6th of May and will talk over the historic Baltic Triangle and Baltic Market venues.

Becky Ayres, Sound City’s CCO said: “This is a huge moment for us as we not only reveal our headline day splits but also the venues will be hosting our festival across in May.

“We really feel the spirit of discovery and exploration returning for our 11th year, with a huge range of artists performing in some brilliant locations.”

She then added:Ā  “We want to capture the magic of the UKā€™s thriving scene as well as what is happening around the world, and feel this range of 100 artists will really entertain, inspire and thrill everyone in May.ā€
