Space rock pioneers Hawkwind will take to Rock City on Friday 22nd November as part of their 50thAnniversary tour.
Formed in 1969, originally as “Hawkwind Zoo” by former London busker Dave Brock, there have been numerous line-up changes throughout the years, however, he remains at the helm today and is known affectionately by many of the fans as the Captain of the ship.
The tour follows on from an incredible 2018 which saw the band tour their groundbreaking album, “Road To Utopia”, and sold out venues across the UK.
Announcing the fresh wave of headline shows, the band said: “Hawkwind are happy to confirm a series of UK Tour Dates leading up to their 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall, London in November. But before then, they’ll be taking to the infamous Rock City for what is set to be a thrilling evening full of hard rock fans alike.
