Mac Demarco and his band will return to the UK this November for a five-date tour including a show at the O2 Academy Birmingham on the 27th November.
Known for combining a goofy public persona with a unique songwriting style and production, Canadian artist Mac Demarco combines elements of pop, jazz and 70s soft-rock and completely changed the shape of the indie rock scene when he rose to fame in 2014 with his album ‘Salad Days’.
His latest LP ‘Here Comes The Cowboy’ was released earlier this year and received critical acclaim. It was written, tracked and mixed at DeMarcoās Jizz Jazz Studios in Los Angeles and nearly every instrument on the album was played by Mac, aside from keyboards on select tracks which were played by touring member and close friend Alec Meen.
All it takes is a quick google search to discover the high energy and craze that swarms his sold-out shows. Not for the faint-hearted, Mac and his band have the ability to transport fans to his roots at every show, turning it into complete indie-rock mayhem.
