Review: Sigala live at Rock City

For the final show of his UK and Ireland tour, Sigala came to Rock City on Saturday 22nd February.

A mix of students and hardcore Sigala fans, there was an excellent feeling amongst the crowd filled with different generations that came together to see the show.

Sigala were supported by two fantastic support acts. The first of which was Joel Corry, who got the room moving with a mix of his own music and famous tracks we all knew and love. The next support act, Regard, followed in a similar manner whipping the crowd up, ready for Sigala to take to the stage. Before he got started, there were some technical difficulties which caused some humour from the DJ and the audience.

Sigala’s set was electrifying the whole time, keeping the crowd alive from start to finish. He had an amazing group of singers on side to help him perform his tracks to their best standard. We had renditions of ‘Wish You Well’ (featuring Becky Hill), a beautiful acoustic version of ‘Sweet Lovin’, ‘Say You Do’ and his most recent release, ‘We Got Love’ (featuring Ella Henderson). After these classic tracks from him, we got to hear some of his own mixes.

He finished the set with two of his most popular songs, ‘Came Here For Love’ and ‘Just Got Paid’, which finished the show with a bang and kept the crowd buzzing until the very end of the gig. As it came to an end, Sigala thanked Rock City for being the last show on his tour and threw out some merchandise into the crowd. They thanked Rock City for being a fantastic show and thanked the UK and Ireland for kicking off the World Tour!
