Funky vocals and a groovy bass-line to match make Ooh La La appealing and danceable…
The fourth single from Jessie Ware’s upcoming album What’s Your Pleasure? has arrived and the wait was so worth it. This sounds like a happier Jessie and we love to see it. This is highlighted through the lyrics:
“Put your lips, on my cheek. That would make me happy”.
80s nostalgia is clear for Jessie Ware on this song. It is particularly emphasised in the pop art featured heavily in the visualiser video with its bold colour and large fonts.
Despite several meanings in its original language, the phrase has strong sexual connotations; another huge emphasis heard throughout the song. Jessie tackles this head on and does it extremely well.
Sultry lyrics could not boost my love for this song anymore. This is helmed by a sci-fi sounding, futuristic tune. It bumps the tempo of the song and makes you want to dance even more.
Whoever is coming to pick Jessie Ware up in their car is certainly lucky. What’s Your Pleasure? is set for release on 19 June.
