Petrol-heads at Nottingham Trent’s Motorsports Society will be taking 16 students down to ‘Teamsport Karting’ Nottingham for a session of racing.
The society’s president Josh Barkby wants to keep the group active during term time, and feels a day at the track is a great way for members and newcomers to get involved in addition to their weekly social at ‘Ocean Wednesdays’.
The event will be held on the 28th of November and is open to any Trent student.
Tickets are being sold for £20 to members and will be available at £25 to non-members from the 21st of November.
Physics student Josh said: “This event is for absolutely everyone, we have beginners, people who have never karted before and at the same time those who are very advanced.
“Watching Formula 1, Moto GP is great but actually getting in the kart and racing yourself gives you that rush.”
Any Trent student wanting to get behind the wheel is welcome.
Tickets have already gone on sale to motorsport society members for the reduced price of £20, but non-member tickets can be bought here.
