December 12th’s General Election is fast approaching, and the first hustings of many has taken place in the Rushcliffe constituency.
Previously held by the father of the house, Kenneth Clarke, the Rushcliffe constituency is thought to be one of the most interesting in the upcoming election.
It will be the first time since 1970 that Kenneth Clarke will not be running as a candidate for the Conservative party after he announced his retirement.
The hustings event took place at the West Bridgford Methodist church on November 26, and was covered by Nottingham Trent student journalists Matt Lee and Peter Trifunovic.
