A man has been arrested by Nottinghamshire Police after a stabbing took place on Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton campus.
Photos showed a large scale response to the incident with several police cars and ambulances on the scene.
Police were called to the Clifton campus at 10.41 am this morning where a man in his 40s was arrested having stabbed someone.
The arrested individual remains in police custody.
The victim, a man, has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Bull of Nottinghamshire Police said: “We are still at the very early stages of our investigation and our thoughts at this time are with the victim and his family, who have been contacted.
“We are working hard to understand what happened but do believe this to be an isolated incident.”
