A new LGBTQ+ art community space is opening in Hockley on January 17 – which will be a creative hub for artists, musicians, and more.
Niche Artefact is a non-profit community group and creative collective founded by artist Robin Da Silva.
The studio, located in the new Hockley Emporium on Pelham Street, will open its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 5:30-8:30pm.
It will exhibit art shows by over 20 local creators, as well as providing members with a space to collaborate right in the heart of the city centre.
On the night, there will be the opportunity to grab refreshments, network with members of the Niche Artefact community, and to meet the board members.
Robin said: “I’m hoping this space will help artists to realise that they are worthy to take up space and push them along the journey of success and confidence.”
The studio will be a free entry space for the public to enjoy and purchase a wide range of original artwork.
