Nottingham Trent’s City Campus student’s union was left taped off by police after an incident in the early hours of October 20.
Witnesses say a ‘number of police cars’ attended the scene after a suspected assault at the universities Climax club night.
While details have yet to be confirmed, one witness stated she saw ‘at least one person on the ground getting medical help’.
Nottinghamshire Police have been contacted for a comment.
