A pair of Nottingham Trent University alumni got married on Brackenhurst campus, seven years after starting their love story in the same place.
Eden and Charles met in 2015 outside Brackenhurst bar during their first week of term.
Eden was studying BSc Animal Biology and Charles BSc Wildlife Conservation.
The couple fondly remembers their time at NTU.
Eden said: āWe used to go on night walks around the Brackenhurst grounds and always saw a barn owl.
āWe made lots of close friends. Some attended our wedding ā three were even my bridesmaids.
“We really enjoyed our time there together and are so grateful we met at Brackenhurst.ā
Talking of memorable moments at NTU, as part of her studies, Eden took a two-week work placement in Mauritius.
Charles said: āShe swam with wild dolphins and became a qualified scuba diver.
āI have my own special memories too. We visited Spain, where we tracked wild boar and took part in incredible field research.ā
After graduating, the pair settled away from their hometowns of Sussex and Sheffield to the village of Southwell.
Eden and Charles were engaged on August 5, 2021, on a beach in Dornoch, Scotland.
āWe chose Brackenhurst for our wedding venue ā itās where we met, and we have a lot of memories there.
“It’s a beautiful place weāre very fond of,ā said the pair.
The happy couple got married on Saturday, August 27.
They celebrated the joyous occasion with their beautiful two-year-old daughter, loved ones, and close friends.
