Rucsandra Moldoveanu, Platform Editor-in-Chief and President, said: “I’m so incredibly excited to see Platform shortlisted for Best Publication at this year’s SPA awards!
“It’s been such a journey leading this publication and I’m so happy to see all our work being recognised at national level.
“Our collaboration with Impact Magazine at the University of Nottingham, #ProjectWinter, has also been shortlisted for Best Project or Initiative, so keep an eye out to see what our investigation revealed about the impact of the cost of living crisis on students this winter.
“I’m so thankful for all the work everyone’s put in for us this year and I cannot wait to see how next year’s committee develops the incredible work that we’ve done in the past almost 12 months!”
The Student Publication Awards, held annually since 2012, highlight and support the next generation of online and print talent by celebrating and recognising the achievement and skills of the student journalism community.
The SPA awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 1 in Glasglow, as part of the Student Publication Association National Conference 2023.
