Victims of Nottingham attack named

All three victims of the Nottingham attack, which occurred yesterday, have been identified.

University of Nottingham students Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar, as well as school caretaker Ian Coates, have lost their lives in the incident.

University of Nottingham vice-chancellor Prof Shearer West has since issued a statement to the Guardian.

She said the university was in a “state of shock” after receiving the news of the passing of Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar.

“We are doing everything we can to support the families. I’m a parent myself, it’s unimaginable to me what they must be going through”, she added.

“These terrible crimes are not the city I know.”

The families of the victims have since spoken out, expressing their devastation and sadness over the loss of their relatives.

A vigil is set to be held at Old Market Square on Thursday at 5:30pm.
