After over a month of success following their 40 percent opening deal, The Botanist’s new branch in West Bridgford has proven to be popular.
The Botanist opened its doors on Monday, October 9th, at the former Fire and Ice bar premises on 40 Bridgford Road.
Jennie Bell, 27, Assistant Manager said: “I think The Botanist is a great addition to West Bridgford and Nottingham.
“I think we are off the map in terms of what’s offered – we have exciting cocktails and over 60 different beers.”
The Botanist presents an ‘Anthology of Ales’ to its customers, as well as an extensive menu of plant-based cocktails.
The food menu is full of succulent barbecue meats, deli boards and the restaurant’s famous hanging kebabs.
Albie Brown, 21, Bartender said that he “loves the intricacy of the cocktails” as it makes the job more fun. They even use dry ice in their mixology.
He recommends trying one of many gin-based cocktails, ‘Velvet Green’, which contains green apple liqueur, kiwi and a botanical elixir found in plants.
By leaving the original timber beams and adding a special horticultural touch, a home-from-home atmosphere has been created for customers to dine in.
There are outdoor spaces at the front and rear, with bi-folding patio doors for the future summer, beer-garden season.
The West Bridgford branch is the 15th addition to the chain, after beginning in Alderly Edge, Cheshire, five years ago.
The Botanist has brought 55 new jobs to the area. All front-of-house positions have now been filled, but they are still looking for a few more kitchen staff.
The Sunday Times has named the New World Trading Company, who operate The Botanist, as 10th in the top 100 Best Companies to work in 2017 – which means employees are sure to be looked after.
The Botanist is open 12pm-12am with cocktails served all afternoon, definitely student friendly!
