Nottinghamshire Varsity 2025: Can NTU make their winning start count?

After University of Nottingham retained the Varsity trophy last year, Nottingham Trent University have gotten off to a flying start in this years series.

NTU beat rivals UON 7-5 last month at the Motorpoint Arena as they retained the Varsity ice hockey trophy.

This week, both Universities will host a variety of sports as they battle it out for the bragging rights.

On Sunday (March 23), Trent will host the Thai Boxing from 1pm which will see 16 boxers go head-to-head in eight fights to decide the overall team winner.

This week, Trent will also host the men’s and women’s lacrosse before multiple events such as volleyball and tennis on the ‘Super Wednesday’ (March 26).

University of Nottingham will host netball, futsal on Monday (March 24) and basketball on Tuesday (March 25) at their DRSV sports centre.
