Notts County head coach Stuart Maynard has praised Magpies forward Jevani Brown before his impressive performance against Alfreton Town.
The Magpies hosted Vanarama National League North side Alfreton Town in the FA Cup on Friday (November 1) in which Jevani Brown helped the side to a 5-1 win.
The forward, who joined the club on loan from Bristol Rovers in the summer, scored two and provided another as County dismantled their East Midland neighbours.
After a first start against Harrogate Town last Saturday (October 26) the forward followed up his ‘glimpses’ of class with an impressive performance in the FA Cup.
On Thursday, Maynard was full of praise for the summer signing.
“I’ve been really impressed since the first day he walked through the door,” he said.
“We understood that he’d not played a lot of minutes, and I think Saturday’s (October 26) performance you see little glimpses of what he can bring but there’s more he can bring to the table he’s got goals in him and he can create goals,” he added.
After struggling in League One with Bristol Rovers, the former Jamaican youth international is looking to rediscover his creative form he found with Exeter City a couple of seasons ago.
Next up, County travel to Doncaster who sit level on points with the Magpies in League Two as they look to keep up their impressive start to the season and look to remain in the top three.
