Nottingham Trent University’s men’s handball first team has been named BUCS champions following a close victory over Loughborough.
After a year in which training and fixtures were disrupted due to the pandemic, captain Francisco Pereira said the successful year was a reward for their hard work and determination.
He said: “I have literally no words to describe this moment! What a club, what a year, what a family!”
The championship was confirmed after those in pink beat Loughborough by just one goal.
