Tom Grennan came to Nottingham on March, 17 and 2018 me would have been fan-girling if I knew I would finally be seeing him in concert.

Becoming a fan in 2018 after his first album ‘Lighting Matches’ and particularly the song ‘Something In The Water’, I was very excited to see him last night.

It’s been a while since I saw an artist in a concert, rather than a band, and Tom Grennan did not disappoint.

Joining the stage with ‘If Only’ from his 2021 album ‘Evering Road’, he perfectly set the tone of the show with this upbeat song which got the crowd dancing along with him.

The band all matching with sleek black suits and himself with a bright two-piece set, although quickly taking his shirt off, jokingly stating it’s always the mums who love it.

Staging consisted of an influx of fire, confetti and large screens which showed his performance and graphics throughout.

His talent truly shined through playing ‘Prayer’ when his husky and deep voice shone through, sounding phenomenal.

Along the show, he bought out one of his opening acts Gracey for ‘Not Over Yet’, a collab with KSI, and his backing singer Angel, whose name perfectly matches her voice.

Tom spoke about his love for Nottingham, from playing Rock City last year to playing Motorpoint Arena.

Also, mentioning his love for Nottingham club, Stealth, saying: “I used to go Stealth getting absolutely larried.”

Having a laugh with the crowd, taking BeReal’s, promising to get a selfie with a girl who was at her first concert as well as cracking jokes to fans.

As the concert came to a close he brought a fan from the crowd, Holly, up on stage as she held a sign asking to sing ‘A little Bit of Love’ with him.

And that’s exactly what they did.

His new album ‘What Ifs & Maybe’s’ will be released June, 9 which he gave us a sneak peak with treating us to new songs.

Thank you so much Motorpoint Arena for this exciting opportunity and an absolutely sensational night.
